How does Axonius pricing work?
You're priced by device count. Your count of unique, correlated devices sets your tier, and Cyber Assets with Advanced Support is the required foundation. Exposures, SaaS Applications, Software Assets, and Identities are add-ons priced as a fraction of license, so they don't add a number to track. Cyber-Physical Assets is priced on its own count, since OT and IoT environments are inventoried separately.
What counts as a billable device?
A billable device is a unique, correlated, and deduplicated device written to the Axonius Asset Module under 'Devices'. As defined in the platform, these are bare-metal and virtual devices, including workstations, mobile devices, servers, and virtual machines.
Your billable count is the 'Total Unique Devices Seen' metric, found in the Device Discovery chart on the default Axonius dashboard.
Because every asset is correlated and deduplicated first, the same device seen by five tools counts once, so your number reflects what's actually in your environment, not inflated tool-by-tool totals. Adding products like SaaS Applications or Identities adds functionality, but does not change your device count.
What happens if my device count grows during my term?
Device tiers are intentionally broad, so everyday fluctuation stays within your tier without affecting your price. If your environment grows meaningfully over time, likely caused by a merger, acquisition, or large initiative that introduces a broad range of new assets into the environment, your subscription is aligned to your actual usage, measured directly from the platform rather than from estimates.
Can I add products after I start?
Yes. Any product can be added to an existing Cyber Assets deployment at your existing device tier. Adding products adds functionality; it doesn't change your device meter.
Do you offer hosted and self-managed options?
Both. Axonius can be deployed as a hosted SaaS option or self-managed on-premises or in your own cloud. A SaaS-hosted deployment is recommended to reduce your total cost of ownership and simplify operations.
What are the benefits of device tiering over per-user?
A single device-tier meter keeps your cost predictable and your budgeting simple, even as your environment scales. Device-based pricing allows you to add as many users as desired to the platform, across security, IT, and compliance.
