Vice President of Axonius Federal Systems
Tom Kennedy is Vice President of Axonius Federal Systems LLC, where he’s responsible for building on the program’s growth, and expanding the impact and reach of the Axonius platform within the federal marketplace. Prior to joining Axonius, Tom was Vice President of Public Sector at Rubrik, where he helped to accelerate the company’s federal sector growth. He previously served as Vice President and General Manager, Public Sector at Veritas, where he led the company’s federal, state and local, education, and healthcare divisions. He held several leadership roles at Symantec before they spun off Veritas.
Brian “Stretch” Meyer
Senior Director of Federal Sales Engineering
With more than 15 years of experience in the federal technology industry ranging from the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) to the intelligence community, Brian “Stretch” Meyer is currently the Director of Axonius Federal Sales Engineering. Brian’s career has been marked by success in technical leadership with a robust federal background supporting roles in key positions, such as the Security Services Manager at key DOD agencies, and managing with direct oversight of the Cybersecurity Architecture and Cybersecurity Engineering divisions on the key Mission Partner Environment programs. Brian focuses on identifying customers’ challenges and designing innovative cybersecurity solutions to solve their complex problems. Brian’s distinguished career serving in the United States Air Force has supported engineering solutions in theater, supporting both Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR) and Enduring Freedom – Afghanistan.
Emily Burdeshaw
Director, Federal Marketing
Emily Burdeshaw is the Director of Federal Marketing at Axonius, where she’s responsible for helping government agencies hear about, appreciate the value of, and engage with the Axonius platform. Her career has taken her from the decks of aircraft carriers as a civilian public affairs officer for the United States Navy, to supporting some of the biggest tech companies and scrappiest start-ups with their go-to-market strategies and marketing efforts in the D.C. area.
Tony Alexander
General Manager
Tony Alexander has held numerous roles within security supporting the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) for the Defense and Counterintelligence Security Agency, formerly the Defense Security Service. He’s a security professional with nearly 20 years of experience in all aspects of industrial security and security programs. Outside of work, Tony enjoys spending time with his wife and kids and writing poetry.
Joe Bermudez
Federal Sales Engineer
Joe Bermudez has over 20 years’ experience across the IT industry. Joe held lead architecture/cybersecurity engineering positions and supported various critical cybersecurity solutions at DISA (Defense Information Systems Agency), as well as high-profile, fourth-estate agencies. Over the course of his career, Joe came to realize that while securing the network infrastructure is critical, Axonius fills a large gap that all institutions struggle with — continuously monitoring and controlling the complexity of their systems to baseline security policies and properly secure endpoints.
Rebecca Bonnefond
Sales Director, National Programs
Rebecca Bonnefond is the Director of National Programs, leading the strategic vision for Axonius into engagements within the Intelligence Community, the Department of Justice, and the Department of Homeland Security. She has spent the last eight years selling various cybersecurity technologies into the National Programs Community and enjoys supporting their missions.
Ray Ciesinski
Federal Sales Director
Ray Ciesinski has 30+ years of experience representing infrastructure solutions, security software, and cloud solutions to U.S. government agencies. Ray has worked for both large OEMs (Cisco, Citrix, Symantec, and Talend) and start-up security OEMs. His significant U.S. agency experience includes working with the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice, Department of Energy, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Commerce, the Department of Navy, and U.S. Marines.
Shane Clarke
Senior Technical Account Manager
As a Senior Technical Account Manager, Shane Clarke provides proactive advice and guidance to help our clients identify and address potential problems before they occur. Prior to joining Axonius, Shane worked 20+ years in various roles within the Defense and Space Industry. Those roles included Test and Evaluation Engineer, Senior Security Manager, Operational Intelligence Analyst, Incident Response Lead, and Cyber Red Team Operator and Program Manager. These roles provided an opportunity to master skills in leadership, negotiation, budgeting, information security, government, and operational planning. Shane holds a Master of Science focused in Computer and Information Systems Security and a Bachelor of Business Administration focused in Human Resource Management.
Rob Dawson
Sustaining Engineer
Rob Dawson has over 30 years of experience across the IT industry, spanning various aspects of the IT spectrum. He has led technical teams from Help Desk roles, Incident and Problem Management, Account Delivery Management and ISSO. Prior to Axonius, Rob worked at several large companies, such as HP, IBM, and VMWare. Rob also holds a Master of Business Administration focused in Finance and a Bachelor of Science focused in Technical Management. At Axonius, he is now helping to lead the Technical Services Team, as well as working as a Sustaining Engineer and Senior Technical Account Manager.
Will Dollar
Technical Support Engineer
Will Dollar is a United States Navy veteran with driven results as an Information Security professional with notable success in planning, analyzing, and implementing security initiatives and protocols. His strengths include providing comprehensive network design and security frameworks, as well as an endpoint security professional with exposure to various endpoint solution platforms (like, Microsoft Defender ATP and Symantec Endpoint Management console). Will possesses a Master of Business Administration in Cybersecurity and a Bachelor of Business Administration specializing in B2B Marketing.
Kenny Khan
Senior Technical Account Manager
Kenny Khan joined Axonius Federal Systems LLC in December 2021. He has over 10 years of experience analyzing, designing, implementing, and supporting information security strategies to decrease exposure, minimize vulnerability, and reduce risk. Prior to his work at Axonius, Kenny worked with F5 Networks (Shape Security), Micro Focus, ManTech International, and Northrop Grumman Information Systems.
Mahmood Khan
Senior Sales Engineer, Intel Community
Mahmood Khan is a seasoned industry veteran with over 20 years of experience in various IT-related roles. As a cybersecurity subject matter expert at Axonius, Mahmood is responsible for helping government agencies be more secure. Prior to his work at Axonius, Mahmood served as a consulting system engineer at Fireeye/Mandiant. He was also a business solutions management architect at BMC, where he was a key member of the U.S. Army’s transformation efforts at Fort Huachuca. Mahmood holds a bachelor’s degree in math and computer science and a master’s degree in cybersecurity. He’s a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP).
Marcus Copeland
Federal Civilian Sales Engineer
Marcus Copeland’s 20-year career in cybersecurity began in the United States Army. While serving in Ramadi, Iraq, in 2003, Marcus understood the importance of cybersecurity due to his job as a data package engineer handling all of 82nd Airborne’s critical communications and infrastructure. Marcus has previously worked with prominent cyber companies covering the OEM and reseller markets like McAfee, Imperva, Forcepoint, Eplus, and Ironbow Technologies.

Joe Lewis is an U.S. Air Force and Air Force Reserves Veteran and worked in Base Security. He started his IT journey with Digital Equipment Corp. (DEC). Joe subsequently worked for Compaq and Hewlett Packard. He has been in business development for 10+ years, mainly in the IT and cybersecurity industry holding senior roles along the way. Joe builds and fosters relationships with prospective clients through integrity and trust. For the past two years, he’s focused on supporting the growth of Axonius Federal Systems LLC.
Patrick Lugenbeel
Sales Director, System Integrators
Patrick Lugenbeel joined Axonius Federal Systems LLC as a Federal Sales Director in January 2022. He joined Axonius Federal Systems to help large enterprise agencies, like the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, defense contractors, and federal system integrators, defend against the ever-increasing cyber threat actors. Prior to Axonius, Patrick spent 23 years in sales and sales leadership roles at Cisco Systems, Federal. At Cisco, he led a diverse team of account managers, engineers, and solution specialists to solve the needs of agency missions with technology solutions.
Jon Martin
Senior Channel Account Manager
Jonathan Martin is extremely well-known and highly regarded across the federal IT sales industry. He is responsible for the Axonius Federal Systems partner go-to market and channel development strategy, focusing on building partnerships for growth with value-added resellers, Federal Systems Integrators, OEMs, and cloud providers in the federal IT market. Jon has over 20 years of experience supporting the mission of the Federal Government, while holding various roles in channels, sales leadership, FSI and service provider business development. Prior to joining Axonius, he spent time at such companies as American Power Conversion, Symantec, Cisco, Nutanix, and AWS.
Chris Olsen
Sales Director, Navy & Marine Corps
Chris Olsen is the Director of Sales for the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) with over 16 years of software sales experience, working with the DOD accounts, programs, integrators and partners. He’s had sales leadership roles with companies like NetApp and Varonis. Chris lives in Portsmouth, N.H., with his wife and enjoys making maple syrup in the Syrup by the Sea Sugarhouse. He enjoys deep sea fishing on the “Sugarbush”, a 38’ cabo sportfishing boat with friends. Currently he’s undefeated in cornhole, washers, horseshoes, darts, indoor shuffleboard, and just about any pub game except pool.

Amanda Tousignant has been in business development for 25+ years. She has supported a variety of industries, including IT and EdTech, and held senior roles in each of her positions. Throughout her career, she strategically builds and fosters trusting relationships with prospective clients. For the past two years, she’s focused on supporting the growth of Axonius Federal Systems by contributing high-value, top-of-pipeline opportunities.
Stewart Wolfe
Federal Sales Engineer
John “Stewart” Wolfe has over 10 years experience in IT and cybersecurity. During his career in the U.S. Air Force, Stewart served in active duty status for four years, with two operational deployments. He then moved into cybersecurity as Cyber Defense Analyst with the Air Force Reserves. Stewart later worked as a Cybersecurity Engineer and Architect in the civilian sector for various Financial-Tech and Managed Security Service Provider contracts before joining Axonius as a Federal Senior Sales Engineer. In his off-time, Stewart enjoys being a father of three and a cop-husband, as well as staying physically active as a coach/trainer and a Brazilian jiu jitsu practitioner. He also still serves as an enlisted member in the Air Force Reserves.
Phil Zalewski
Director Civilian Sales, Military Healthcare
Phil Zalewski is Director of Sales for Civilian and Military Health with over 25 years of technology sales experience with the U.S. Civilian and Department of Defense accounts, programs, integrators, and partners. He built and led sales teams at Cisco, Juniper Networks, Riverbed, and Citrix. Phil has also worked at high-growth companies, such as Nutanix and Cohesity, and is an advisor to high-growth companies in the Mid-Atlantic.
