Wong will be responsible for providing the overall strategic direction for Axonius across APAC
NEW YORK — March 22, 2022 — Axonius, the leader in cybersecurity asset management and SaaS management, today announced the appointment of KY Wong as vice president of Sales for the APAC region. Based in Singapore, and with more than 20 years of experience growing cybersecurity firms throughout Asia, Wong will help Axonius continue its rapid growth across the region by building strong sales teams, a robust channel ecosystem, and relationships with key local customers.
In his previous roles, Wong developed a strong sense for how to best engage audiences throughout APAC. As one of the founding members of the APJ team for endpoint security startup Carbon Black (later acquired by VMWare), he grew the firm’s South Asian presence to become a market leader in the region, establishing a robust value-added channel of distributors and resellers. His team’s success directly contributed to Carbon Black’s successful IPO and continued post-acquisition growth, as he was tapped to become the first Head of Sales, South East Asia + Korea for VMWare Carbon Black. He also previously held a leadership role at SonicWALL Inc., later acquired by Dell.
Wong joins Axonius in the middle of a rapid growth in APAC. Since it expanded into the region in 2021, the company has entered relationships with 12 regional partners and distributors and grew year-over-year annual recurring revenue in international markets by 141%. In APAC, Axonius doubled its customer base and saw a 630% year-over-year increase in annual recurring revenue.
