When a company announces massive growth, prestigious awards, and impressive investment, it’s tempting to think they’re all work and no play. Not at Axonius.
Stuffy Conference Room? No. Barcelona? Si.
One of the biggest challenges at a hyper-growth company is making sure that the entire team feels connected. The culture we’ve worked so hard to build when we were just starting is what makes us different: we’re a team of people that are pathologically unable to accept inefficiency, status quo, and bureaucracy. To maintain that, we bring the entire company together at least once a year to celebrate, collaborate, and have fun. What better place to do that than Barcelona?
Plaza de Cataluna, Barcelona
Axonius employees from the US, Tel Aviv, and Bulgaria descended upon beautiful Barcelona, eager to spend quality facetime with one another. We posed for a celebratory group photo in Plaza de Cataluna, steps from our hotel, before kicking off a morning scavenger hunt.
Putting Comfort Zones Behind
We spent one afternoon playing a life-size version of the puzzle game Armada. Teams were comprised of members from different business functions and locations, creating a fun exercise in communication and collaboration.
Recognizing Superstars
Some companies have a “President’s Club”, rewarding the top sales reps with a tropical trip. At Axonius, we wanted to try something different, recognizing those employees that exemplify our culture and make Axonius a place where people want to work.
The Axonius CEO’s award recognizes the kind of people that inspire others in the company across the board and is given quarterly to an employee that has been here for at least one year. And we came up with the perfect award (we think).
The two deserving recipients of the Axonius CEO’s award for Q4 2019 are Shira Gold and Joe Hoban.
When in Barcelona…
On the final night, we did as the Barcelonians do: attend a football match at Camp Nou! The chilly, windy night was no match for our effervescent spirit as we cheered on FC Barcelona in their game against Granada CF. They won the game (and our hearts)!
