Energetic. Nonstop. Dog-friendly. These are just a few words that describe our experience at the 29th annual RSA Conference 2020 in San Francisco, California last week. More than 36,000 attendees and 650 exhibitors convened at the Moscone Center to explore the Human Element in cybersecurity through keynotes, sessions, tutorials, seminars, and special events.
THE BOOTH
It was a special week for Axonius as we reflected on how far we’ve come since winning last year’s Innovation Sandbox Contest. In one year, we’ve added more than 60 new team members, raised two rounds of funding, won numerous awards, and expanded our business into federal, channel, and EMEA. What’s more, we moved on up to the big leagues with a 10’ x 20’ booth in the South Expo Hall. Our prime location allowed us to meet with delegates from around the world as they explored the many rows of cybersecurity vendors vying for their attention. The booth itself was outfitted with a welcoming, bright orange carpet, two demo stations, and a reception desk with collateral.
THE TEAM
Our geographically distributed team was eager to spend quality facetime with the infosec community — and with each other — all week. We were so excited to represent Axonius that we even coordinated our outfits. From custom designed New Balance sneakers to black Axonius logo tees to orange lanyards, we certainly stood out!
MORE AWARDS
The week kicked off with a bang as our very own Meg Andrews, Senior Director of Demand Generation, won Rising Star Cybersecurity Marketer of the Year. The second annual ceremony crowning top cybersecurity marketers was hosted by The Cybersecurity Go To Market Dojo, the industry’s premier community for cybersecurity marketing and communications professionals. Additionally, Axonius won the Enterprise Security category for the Cyber Defense InfoSec Awards.

DOING GOOD WITH ‘INSTEAD OF SWAG’ BAGS
We gave away ‘Instead of Swag’ tote bags to our booth visitors this year. As the name suggests, in lieu of handing out nonessential conference swag, we made a $3,000 donation to the Eat. Learn. Play Foundation instead. This decision was part of our ongoing commitment to do good in cybersecurity event marketing, a space that’s often filled with giveaways that end up in trash cans.
AFTERNOON PUB CRAWL
Axonius was one of 25 stops on the RSA Conference Expo Pub Crawl. On Wednesday afternoon, a friendly RSA Conference bartender wheeled over a bar cart to our booth to provide complimentary beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks to conference goers after a long day of sessions.

THANK YOU AND SEE YOU NEXT YEAR
We would like to thank everyone who took time out of their busy days to stop by our booth, learn about us, and get a demo. The event would not have been a success without you. See you next year!
